The Way of the Sly Man is a 90-minute work that explores the ideas of G.I. Gurdjieff. The piece draws upon a variety of musical influences in addition to American jazz and pop idioms. Those influences are the music of Thomas de Hartmann/G. I. Gurdjieff, and the music of the Middle East, India, and Africa.

The list of performers includes several leading regional musicians - trumpeter Jack Schantz, saxophonist Howie Smith, trombonist Chris Anderson, and pianist Dan Wall.

The concert is free and open to the public.
